Running and coffee - managing jet-lag effectively
I have managed to keep running in the midst of jet lag. What I have learned is that running helps with the “fogginess” that comes with being over tired. The fresh air and increased oxygen intake feels so good, that and a good cup of coffee of course!
I am traveling with my husband to his conference in Norway, so excited! Our first stop is Prague ( well not really our first stop because we are on the milk run). I have heard Prague described as the “new Paris”, well Paris is my favorite city so I will have to make my own judgement.
I love to run in new places, breaking ground, discovering sites I would not see otherwise. Running provides me familiarity and solitude in the midst of some frenzied travel. I often take someone in my family along so we can explore together. Some of the most vivid memories of my travels include running.
The trick to this trip will be keeping my running streak alive, I am at 130 days and I am not ready to end it now. So I studied the itinerary and made a plan. Travel days will be short and I hope to fully enjoy the other runs.
Thankfully my husband is a runner, or I am sure he would think I was crazy!
Let the travels begin for this everyday runner…
