John J. Kelley:
“We runners are all a little nutty, but we’re good people who just want to enjoy our healthy, primitive challenge. Others may not understand running, but we do, and we cherish it. That’s our only message.
— Running Quotes from Famous Runners
Running is running. It hurts, but that’s all it does. The most difficult part of the training is training your mind. You build calluses on your feet to endure the road. You build calluses on your mind to endure the pain. There’s only one way to do that. You have to get out there and run. David Goggins (via irunbecauseican)

Run for the health of it…

I have been working out and running hard lately - and my body is feeling it…  today I took it easy and just went for a short relaxed run. I was contemplating taking a break overall but I have been at it too long and know not to make any decisions when my body is tired.  I need to decide when my body is feeling good … and we all know what the decision will be then!

For now, I just watched my girls head out together to run, I love that they run together, I love that they care about their health and I love them… Life is good.

Only two days exist in the year when you cannot do anything. One is called yesterday and the other is tomorrow. But today is the best day to love, grow, do, and mainly to live. — Dalai Lama (via thelittlephilosopher)
